Suzie started dancing when she was 5yrs old, at a neighborhood studio in Roxbury NJ. She
studied ballet, tap and acro, until being introduced to jazz at age 12, by her teacher and mentor,
Joanne Baldini. She studied and competed with many subjects under Joanne, including
Rhythmic gymnastics, hip hop, lyrical and musical theater amongst the other dance staples ;
tap, jazz and ballet. In her senior year of high school, she started teaching recreational and
competition dance classes.
At the age of 18, Suzie attended college as a dance major and received her degree in dance
from CCM. During this time period, she performed with many local theater groups and
companies in the Morris County area. Eventually, Suzie would go on to be a main teacher at her
former studio , and teaching 32 hours of dance a week. She eventually became assistant
director, and went on to teach for 29 years.
In her years of teaching, she has taught and choreographed at many workshops, camps,
community theaters, school functions, and many local studios. Her competition pieces have won
her many group and solo choreography, and entertainment awards at regional and national
competitions, including many 1st place overall awards in intermediate and advanced categories.
She has also won 1st place overall at regionals and Nationals for her production pieces for
several years. Some of her dancers have gone on to perform on Broadway, Pro football/
basketball dance teams, and various professional dance companies in New york City, and LA.
Some have also gone on to teach, and open studios of their own.
Kamryn Spagnuolo has been dancing since the age of 2 in styles such as tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, modern, musical theater, hip hop and some forms of ballroom. In addition to her dance training, she’s also been trained in singing, acting and is a self-taught contortionist since the age of 13. Kamryn spent some time training in NYC at a dance conservatory and has also done numerous workshops, drop-in/master classes and dance conventions. She has since choreographed/co-choreographed dances, co-choreographed musicals some in which she also performed in since the age of 12 and has been teaching for now 5 years. She’s also helped choreograph for up and coming artists as well as dance alongside them for music videos and performances amongst doing other dance performances for Honda and event at MetLife stadium. Kamryn continues her dance training today at places like Broadway Dance Center, Peridance Capezio Center, Steps On Broadway. She has even gotten to take from big name dancers like Guy Groove, Tiler Peck, Gianna Martello, Lisa La Touche and Chloe Arnold. Kamryn hopes to bring the same joy she feels for dance to each of their students and build each and every one of them up!!
Kiara Williams is a recent graduate of the University Michigan with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor in Performing Arts Management. She has trained in modern and ballet as well as other various styles like jazz, tap, and hip hop. While at U of M she has performed in works by Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, , Meredith Monk, Jennifer Harge, Sandra Torijano, and Amy Chavasse at the Power Center for the Performing Arts. She also has performed True Blue: A Tribute to Michigan! and the School or Music Theater & Dance Collage Concert at Hill Auditorium. In 2016 her own choreography was featured in the Department of Dance’s football halftime performance and in 2018 she set a new work on the U of M Department of Dance Freshman Touring Company. In May of 2019 she performed her self choreographed solo Intervals at the U of M senior showcase in NYC. Williams is now pursuing dance and choreography professionally.
Melissa Jensen has been dancing since the young age of 2 1/2 years old. Throughout her childhood she attended many dance studios in the area. Her love of dance started early and was nurtured throughout her youth. When Melissa entered high school, she continued to study ballet, lyrical and jazz. She also became very involved in her high schools musical and drama productions. It was then that Melissa realized that dance and musical theater would be her passion. She went on to attend Manhattanville College and Montclair State University, where she ultimately obtained her BFA in dance. While there she studied under Lonne Morretton, Nancey Lushington, Maxine Steinman, Maureen Glennon Clayton, Lori Katterhenry and Lisa Grimes, just to name a few. While at MSU, Melissa was part of the Montclair State Dance Company and had the honor of performing many beautiful works by amazing choreographers such as Joelle Vansickle, Maureen Glennon Clayton and many more. Melissa began teaching during college under the direction of Joanne Baldini. Thus far in her teaching career Melissa has worked at Roxbury and Randolph High School, achieved many high score and choreography awards, invitations to World Dance Championships, High Score and Choreography award at the national level and much more. Melissa has had a company of dancers perform in Show Up & Dance (through DANCE NJ), The United Movement Project (NJ), Peridance Showcase (NYC) and Jennifer Muller’s Hatch Series (NYC). Melissa is also a guest choreographer for Randolph High School and Roxbury High School as well as many studios throughout New Jersey! Melissa has hosted many workshops and is a member of Dancers Make A Change dance convention. Melissa also holds her K-12 New Jersey Teaching certification for dance.
Cammy Messer started her dance training at 2yrs old. She studied and competed for many years at Heartbeat Dance center under the Direction of Joanne Baldini and her mom, Suzie Messer, as well as Melissa Reardon, Danielle Pieklo and Meghan Heyert. During her 16 years of training, Cammy has studied tap, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, lyrical, contemporary, rhythmic gymnastics and musical theater. She is a title winner and has won countless first place overall awards at various competitions for her solos, duos/trios, and group dances. Cammy had also won many special awards just this past year including Starpowers Power Pak and Golden Ticket, Legacy’s Showdown of the Legends, and the Idance Heart of Gold award to name a few. Besides dance, she has also cheered competitively for 5yrs. She has performed in local theater and school plays as a lead dancer, and has enjoyed dancing and assisting with many choreographers for charity events and workshops.
